A lot of times I hear that we should have a relationship with Jesus Christ. I try to understand it as it maybe confusing for how can one mortal have a relationship with God. The relationship is not possible for we are unequal entities. But then as God gave Jesus Christ to be the way the truth and the light, I understood that it can start with obedience in the carry your cross and come and follow my way thing. It is a life leaning, surrendered and centered to Him. Stripping ourselves with our own will to His will is actually our only possible way to be in relationship with Him. It might seem mind boggling but the more we are entwined with our acts and thought on our own the farther we are from Him. God's ways are too way far from the way our thoughts are made especially the influences surrounding us. Isaiah 55:58 For my thoughts are nothing like your thoughts says the Lord.. And my ways are far beyond anything you can imagine For just the heavens are higher than the earth so my ways are higher that your ways and my thoughts are higher than your thoughts.... Love is the key as Jesus said that's is why to forgive is divine. With forgiveness we free ourselves from the entanglement with the negative energy or sin. So that loving one another is the only way for us to grow spiritually to access and achieve the truth and life. The worldly influences has actually veiled, warped, blocked, walled or separated us from achieving Mat 6:33 Seek yeah first the kingdom of God and all His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Successful materially is not the center but a great deceiver. Jesus is the center. It can be possible though if it will be according to His will and in His time and it is a bliss. In fact it is just a bonus for his purpose and reason not according to ours for by then we work not for ourselves but for the Kingdom. Material success takes a different meaning. We then become a part a co creator with Him as we now have a living relationship with Him being now a real part of the vine as being the branches that bears those fruits that others will partake. The 150 beads of the rosary represents the 150 chapters of the Book of Psalms. During that period, there are few among the n multitudes can read or have a copy of the bible. So instead the rosary was improvised to embody the thoughts of the Book of Psalms in each chapter to each bead. Charles D'Souza's photo.
I have this about giving...and I have a different experience from someone who thought to be giving and generous...she gives to what she thought was right and loves to give the things that she has. They are stuff she loves and bought at sale prices and she loves rummaging along sale stuff...the I asked myself...was she really giving or it is just giving unto herself wallowing in the thought that she's generous. I think giving should be addressed on the need of the receiver not on what we thought we like to give, it becomes more meaningful. But I love the giving from the Prophet of Gahlil Gibran, he defined giving well.
Very nice... and we sometimes never forgive and tough on those who made mistakes on us. We lost respect and condemn others to what we perceive they are through their mistakes but a lot of times the mistake was for us and to open our eyes like a jolt as we are missing a piece to our wholeness...yet we let pride, anger, doubt, fear over rule the better in us....Thus we missed out the enriching process of our life....Thanks Med.

THOUGHTS TO PONDER-- Marcel Proust said, "The only true voyage... would be not to visit strange lands but to possess other eyes."And this is true because even t...he strangest land will not look different than how our eyes allow us to see. This does not only apply to places but to things and people. Our own prejudices and stereotyping prevent us from being able to see what are good and loving in others even if these are so freely and brightly meant for us. Our own blindness are sometimes so egregious that we reject the very things and people that bring us life. Instead of thanking them we kill them and hang them to a tree till they die. Unless we are able to transcend and overcome this blindness we keep choosing what kills than what gives life which in the process killing and damning our very selves. In the coming election we are making decisions that impact us and others in a big way. Yes, through a seeming innocuous choice we may starve and kill people which may be our own selves although we think we are saving ourselves. SOMETHING to think about friends.

It is through Mama Mary whom the Word was made flesh possible and Him to have dwelt amongst us. Catholics honor her for her obedience and simplicity. We honor her of her great role in God's great plans for man's salvation. WE honor her as the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ. And mothers to us have great meanings, some we can understand and some we can't. By faith we hold her dearest in our hearts. Happy Birthday Mama Mary. Thank you for the great love.

    Aegis plus AngJo Awayan
Jo Awayan is a performer and a wonderful front act. She so professionaly and personally propped up the audience to be ready for the big... songs that Aegis was expected to have prepared. Jo was really funny and entertaining. She really still have those pipes for those great songs. Admirably, she was prepared. She was smooth and spontaneous. Her spiels were great. She wasn't over doing or trying. I think of her as a very respectable artist. She had the crowd alive, very happy, She was accorded back with a huge and well deserved applause. I've never seen that kind of appreciation from any front act I've seen before.. She was just superb and almost stole the show from Aegis.
The Alex Theater was packed from the orchestra perspective. I haven't been in an Aegis only concert and I am impressed by their drawing power. I knew them for the songs "Luhà" (" Tears"), "Halík" ("Kiss"), and "Basáng-basâ sa Ulán" ("Drenched in the Rain"). Their songs are quite hard core in the sense that it touches the raw deep unspoken feelings of heartbreaks of which Pinoys are quite cozy with. Melodramatic and the lyrics spells out the commonly unspoken pains or the very words we would like to say or describe our own situations and despairs. That probably explains why all of us can relate as the songs are like a catharsis to a heart and mind wanting a release. And they came like screams of the heart yet beautifully interpreted in those unbelievable birit.

    Ken Sunot - vocals
    Stella Galindo - keyboard
    Rey Abenoja - vocals/lead guitar
    Rowena Pinpin - bass guitar
    Vilma Goloviogo - drums
The sisters are well endowed with the very popular birit range and style which is what is singing to a great number of Pinoys. Unbelievable notes and they blend together for an extreme doze of birits. I realized I was already at the edge of my chair maybe for fear of a glass somewhere is about the be broken. They sang Habang May Buhay, a hit single from After Image and was really heartfelt in the birit way. They sang a lot of covers too like Salamat by the Dawn, Jeprox by Mike Hanopol and the Sampaguita classic hits Bonggahan and Nosi Balasi. There were a lot hit songs they sang I am not familiar with but the audience were simply enthralled singing the songs together with the group. The two hour concert seemed short with so much hits sang with incredible gusto and that includes the high performing audience. Aegis gave an encore to satisfy the hard core clamor too for even just one more song.
Aegis did not disappoint their fans. They gave the packed house their hits songs and more plus the kind of performance that only an Aegis can do. They came they sang and they conquered,
